Logan earned its second straight win without injured standout guard Kira Peterson (sprained ankle) â and this time it was on the road.The Grizzlies (8-12, 5-4 Region 11) outscored the Bears (3-16, 2-7) 30-22 in the second half, with 11 of those points coming in the paint, much to the delight of head coach Josh Zentner.Tori Craner paced a balanced Logan offense with 12 points, while Samalie Prom and Liz Timmerman combined for 17 points. Prom and Timmerman each knocked down a pair of treys.
âItâs been a team effort and Tori Craner, Liz and Sam have really stepped up and taken on some leadership roles,â Zentner said. âYou know, Sharron Wallace has been solid as well, but I think that the girls have had to come together just as a whole (after) losing their leader. … Iâm proud of the girls.â

Logan Grizzlies Varsity Defeat Bear River (Garland, UT)
Logan won 47-36 against Bear River on Tuesday with the help of Tori Craner, who scored 13 points. On a two-pointer from Nicole Nye, Logan Grizzlies Varsity locked down their lead in the third quarter.
Claiming a 17-14 lead at the half, Logan pulled ahead early in the game. With 16 points in the fourth quarter, Logan solidified their lead.
Craner was the front runner for Logan’s offense with 13 points, including six during the second period. She also contributed eight rebounds.
Samalie Prom (8 points) and Liz Timmerman (8 points) each had multiple three-pointers. Also contributing for Logan were Shay Anderson (6 points, 7 rebounds), Mia Marin (5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Sharron Wallace (3 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals), and Nye (2 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal).
Logan finished the game with 40 rebounds (15 offensive / 25 defensive), one block and eight steals.
