Logan (2-5) fell to Northridge (3-1) in a close one on the road Tuesday.It was back and forth all night. Loganâs Kira Peterson hit a 3-pointer just before halftime to cut the Northridge lead to two.The Grizzlies had a chance at the end of the game to pull ahead by one but missed a layup.
âWeâre kind of tired of the moral victories,â Logan head coach Josh Zentner said. âWeâve played good competition, but thatâs why we schedule that competition to make us tougher and stronger.â
Peterson led Logan with 18 points.
Logan hosts Jerome, Idaho, Friday at 7 p.m.
Logan Grizzlies Varsity Fall Short Against Northridge
Although Kira Peterson put 18 points on the scoreboard, Logan fell to Northridge 48-44. Northridge sealed their victory in the fourth quarter on a free throw from #11.
Even though Logan Grizzlies Varsity added 17 points in the final quarter, it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponent. Logan put forth an aggressive effort, accumulating 22 fouls over the course of the game.
Peterson led the charge for Logan’s offense, scoring 18 points, with seven points during the fourth period. She also contributed two rebounds and three steals.
Also helping the effort for Logan were Samalie Prom (6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals), Tori Craner (5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Nicole Nye (5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block), Sharron Wallace (4 points, 6 rebounds), Liz Timmerman (4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), and Mia Marin (2 points, 3 rebounds).
Logan finished the game with 32 rebounds (8 offensive / 24 defensive), one block and 10 steals.
