Game Recap

Grizzlies 62, Trojans 54

A big third quarter helped Logan (10-9, 3-3) to pick up its second straight Region 11 win on the road this week. The Grizzlies outscored Morgan 22-14 in the third quarter, extending their 25-20 halftime lead to place the pressure on the Trojans (6-11, 1-5).

“We did a really good job in the third quarter of extending our lead by being aggressive,” Logan head coach Logan Brown said. “We attacked the rim and we really did a great job on their leading scorer, (Cade) Russell. Jared Bagley guarded him most of the game, and he did a great job.”

Logan’s aggressive nature on defense resulted in offensive opportunities. Brayden Roberts scored 15 points, Bagley added 13 and Anthony McDade eight.

“Our approach to defense has gotten much better,” Brown said. “We value getting stops and it’s letting us be confident on offense. … Brayden was outstanding tonight. Our guys did a good job of finding him in areas where he could score for us.”
